Chemo's sickening side effects under the microscope

NCT ID NCT01440465

Summary

This study aimed to understand how often and how severely nausea and vomiting happen in cancer patients during their very first round of chemotherapy, even when they are given standard medications to prevent it. Researchers surveyed 300 adults in Normandy, France, who were starting chemotherapy for the first time. The goal was to gather real-world data on this common and distressing side effect to see how well current prevention strategies are working.
