Chemo's hidden toll: study probes heart and blood vessel damage
NCT ID NCT03062878
Summary
This study aimed to understand how a common type of chemotherapy (anthracycline-based) affects the body's ability to control blood pressure and the health of blood vessels. Researchers measured these factors in 60 people with breast cancer or lymphoma, both during treatment and 1-5 years after finishing it. The goal was to gather knowledge to help reduce future heart disease risk in cancer survivors.
