Scientists probe hidden bladder damage in kids after chemo

NCT ID NCT04993859

Summary

This study aims to understand if two common chemotherapy drugs, vincristine and doxorubicin, cause long-term bladder problems in children who have survived cancer. Researchers will observe 152 survivors, aged 5-13, who finished chemo at least a year ago. They will compare bladder function tests and urine samples between kids who report symptoms and those who don't to look for signs of damage.
