Two fillers, one cheek: new combo tackles wrinkles and volume loss
NCT ID NCT06351358
First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 24, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether using two different dermal fillers together—Sculptra and Restylane—can improve cheek wrinkles and restore lost volume in adults. Forty-one participants who had moderate-to-severe cheek wrinkles and midface contour deficiencies (often due to aging, weight loss, or GLP-1 medication use) received injections over several weeks. The researchers measured changes in skin hydration, radiance, elasticity, and thickness to see if the combination worked better than either filler alone.

What this could lead to
If successful, this combination approach could offer a more effective, longer-lasting option for restoring cheek volume and reducing wrinkles.
What could go wrong
