Scientists hunt for clues to stop dangerous side effect of cancer drugs
NCT ID NCT04476563
Summary
This study aims to understand why some cancer patients develop liver injury after taking immunotherapy drugs called checkpoint inhibitors. Researchers will observe 160 patients who either develop this liver injury or are starting the drugs, collecting blood samples to look for biological warning signs. The goal is to learn how common this side effect is and identify factors that might predict who is at risk.
