Charcoal pills could speed up surgery for blood thinner patients
NCT ID NCT02969746
Summary
This study aimed to see if taking activated charcoal pills helps the body clear certain blood thinners faster when surgery needs to be delayed. It planned to test this in 140 patients taking drugs like apixaban or rivaroxaban. The goal was to reduce waiting times for necessary procedures by lowering drug levels in the blood more quickly.
