Charcoal filters: safer smoking or false security?
NCT ID NCT07348679
Summary
This study aims to understand if cigarettes with charcoal filters change how people think about smoking risks and how they actually smoke. 252 adult smokers will participate in a 5-week lab study where they'll try either charcoal-filtered or regular cigarettes. Researchers will measure their smoking habits, collect biological samples, and ask about their perceptions to see if charcoal filters lead to different behaviors or exposures to harmful chemicals.
