Could a triple therapy stop strokes from coming back?
NCT ID NCT06757764
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether adding the drug cilostazol to the usual two blood thinners (aspirin and clopidogrel) can better prevent early stroke recurrence in people who had a stroke caused by narrowed arteries in the brain or neck. About 2,340 adults will be enrolled within 72 hours of their stroke. The goal is to see if the triple therapy reduces neurological worsening during hospitalization and new strokes over the next 6 months.
