First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study aimed to compare blood sugar patterns in pregnant women with gestational diabetes who were treated with either metformin or insulin. Researchers planned to use a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) to track glucose levels during pregnancy and after delivery. The goal was to see how well each medication controls blood sugar and whether CGM data can help detect diabetes after pregnancy. However, the study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants.
