Hospital tests new tech to watch blood sugar in diabetic emergencies
NCT ID NCT06693115
Summary
This study aimed to see if using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) could help safely manage patients hospitalized for severe diabetes complications like diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). The goal was to test the CGM alongside a new, simpler insulin injection method to reduce frequent finger-prick checks and improve safety. The trial was withdrawn before any patients were enrolled.
