Real-Time glucose monitor may help type 2 diabetes patients without insulin

NCT ID NCT07298850

First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at whether simply seeing real-time blood sugar readings on a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) can help people with type 2 diabetes who don't use insulin improve their blood sugar control. About 120 participants will wear a CGM for two weeks: the first week they can't see the readings, and the second week they can. Researchers will compare the time spent in a healthy blood sugar range between the two weeks to see if just having the information makes a difference.
