Scientists measure Kids' muscle oxygen to unlock exercise mystery

NCT ID NCT07157644

Summary

This study aimed to understand how two genetic lung diseases, cystic fibrosis (CF) and primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD), affect children's physical fitness. Researchers compared 88 children, including those with CF, PCD, and healthy kids, measuring how far they could walk, the oxygen levels in their leg muscles, their breathing strength, and daily activity. The goal was to gather detailed information to better understand the physical challenges these children face.
