Scientists hunt for genes that make cystic fibrosis milder or more severe
NCT ID NCT00037765
Summary
This study aims to understand why lung disease varies so much in people with cystic fibrosis (CF), even when they have the same genetic mutation. Researchers are analyzing the DNA of 600 CF patients to identify other genes that might make the lung disease milder or more severe. The goal is to find new targets for future treatments by learning what influences the course of the disease.
