First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adults who carry one copy of the cystic fibrosis gene (called CF carriers) are more likely to get dehydrated or have heat-related problems. Researchers will compare 100 CF carriers with 100 non-carriers using surveys and a heat challenge in a sauna. The goal is to understand if this common genetic trait affects how the body handles heat.
