First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a daily skincare routine using Cetaphil cleansers and moisturizers can improve skin symptoms and quality of life for people with mild-to-severe plaque psoriasis. Participants apply the products to one side of their body while continuing their usual prescription treatment. Researchers measure changes in affected skin area, lesion severity, and skin texture over 8 weeks.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Cetaphil (Gentle Skin Cleanser, Moisturizing Cream, Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 35)
What this could lead to
If effective, this skincare regimen could become a standard add-on to help manage psoriasis symptoms and improve skin comfort.
What could go wrong
This is a small, open-label study with no placebo group, so results may not prove the products work better than other moisturizers. Individual skin reactions are possible.
