New neck trauma rules could cut unnecessary ER visits

Summary
This study tests a new set of rules for treating neck injuries in conscious, stable patients before they reach the hospital. The goal is to see if these rules can reduce unnecessary neck immobilization and imaging, and improve how patients are routed through the healthcare system. About 840 adults with recent neck trauma will be enrolled.
