First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested two types of nerve blocks (superior cervical sympathetic block and stellate ganglion block) to treat dangerous artery spasms in the brain after a traumatic head bleed. 60 adults aged 18-65 with refractory post-traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage were enrolled. The goal was to see if these bedside procedures could improve blood flow and prevent delayed brain injury. The study is completed and results are pending.
