Could a blood test one day replace the pap smear?
NCT ID NCT07211204
Summary
This study aimed to compare the standard Pap smear test to a new molecular blood test for detecting abnormal cervical cell changes. It planned to enroll women aged 18-85 to see if the blood test, which looks for specific protein markers, could be as good as or better than current methods. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
