Summary
This proof-of-concept study tests a surgical procedure that connects lymph nodes in the neck to veins, aiming to help the brain clear out toxic proteins linked to Alzheimer's. Ten people with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's will undergo the surgery and be monitored for two years for safety and any changes in thinking, memory, and daily function. The goal is to see if improving the brain's drainage system can slow or improve symptoms.
