New study tracks success of neck fusion surgery with spacers

NCT ID NCT04041583

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at how well the bones in the neck fuse together after a type of spine surgery called posterior cervical fusion, where small spacers are placed between the joints. Researchers will follow 45 adults for up to 2 years after surgery, using X-rays and CT scans to check bone healing and spine alignment. The goal is to learn more about the surgery's outcomes, not to test a new treatment.
