Fighting cancer with a Patient's own supercharged immune cells

Summary
This study tested a personalized cell therapy called LN-145 for women with advanced cervical cancer that had returned, spread, or persisted after other treatments. Doctors collected a patient's own immune cells from her tumor, grew large numbers of them in a lab, and then infused them back into her body after a brief chemotherapy regimen. The main goal was to see if this approach could shrink tumors and control the cancer.
