New stapler technique aims to contain cancer during surgery

NCT ID NCT07256977

Summary

This study compares two surgical approaches for early cervical cancer (tumors 2-4 cm). One group receives traditional open surgery, while the other receives a minimally invasive procedure using a special stapler designed to prevent cancer cells from spreading during the operation. Researchers will track patients for 4.5 years to see if the less invasive method is as effective and safe as open surgery in controlling the cancer.
