One-Week radiation challenge: faster pain relief for advanced cervical cancer?

NCT ID NCT03997110

Summary

This study aims to find out if a much shorter, one-week course of radiation therapy works as well as the standard 6-8 week course for relieving pain and other symptoms in patients with advanced cervical cancer who cannot have curative treatment. It will involve 230 patients with advanced disease and a life expectancy of less than a year. The main goal is to see if the shorter treatment provides similar pain relief while potentially being easier for patients to complete.
