Simple injection could cut strong painkiller need after spine surgery

NCT ID NCT06755736

Summary

This study tested whether a simple, ultrasound-guided nerve block in the neck could help manage pain after cervical spine surgery. The goal was to see if this block could reduce the amount of opioid painkillers patients need after their operation, which might lower side effects like nausea and breathing problems. Researchers compared pain levels and medication use in 60 patients who either received the block or standard care.
