Ear stimulation device tested to boost brain function in dementia

NCT ID NCT07149038

Summary

This study is testing a device called Cerogrin, which gently stimulates a nerve in the ear, to see if it can help improve memory and thinking in people with vascular dementia or mild cognitive impairment. Twenty-four participants will use either the real device or a fake one at home for 30 minutes a day for four weeks. Researchers will measure changes in cognitive tests and brain scans to see if the treatment is safe and shows any benefit.
