First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a group-based parenting program called CenteringParenting, offered during routine well-child visits, can improve school readiness in young children from low-income families. Researchers will follow 1,200 parent-child pairs from birth to 24 months, measuring language skills and parenting behaviors. The goal is to see if this low-cost, scalable approach helps reduce developmental delays and supports healthy early childhood development.
