New hope for stubborn seizures? Real-World trial tests promising drug

NCT ID NCT07474285

Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called cenobamate can help control seizures in adults with autoimmune epilepsy, a condition where the body's immune system attacks the brain and causes seizures that are often hard to treat. Researchers will follow 30 participants for 24 weeks to see if the drug safely reduces their seizure frequency and improves their quality of life. The goal is to find a better treatment option for people whose seizures continue despite standard therapies.
