First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called cenerimod in 105 adults with active lupus. The goal was to see if it could safely reduce certain immune cells that cause inflammation. Participants took the drug or a placebo for up to 12 weeks while continuing their usual lupus medications. The results help researchers understand if this approach might control lupus better in the future.
