New freezing catheter could make lung procedures safer and cheaper

NCT ID NCT07539701

First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study will test a new, disposable freezing catheter (Celsio) in 30 people who need a lung procedure like a biopsy or removing a blockage. The catheter uses extreme cold instead of heat and doesn't need a bulky machine. Researchers want to see if it works well and is safe, and to gather information for future studies.
