Groundbreaking trial aims to stop diabetes before it starts in kids

Summary
This study is testing whether a new cell-based therapy, with or without an antibody drug, can safely delay or prevent the onset of type 1 diabetes in children who are at high risk. About 150 children, aged 6 to 16, who have early signs of the disease but no symptoms, will be randomly assigned to receive different combinations of the treatments or a placebo. The main goal is to see if the treatment can help these children maintain normal blood sugar levels for longer.
