Scientists test cell injection to repair hearing nerves

NCT ID NCT07032038

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing a new cell therapy called Rincell-1 in adults with severe nerve-related hearing loss who are already eligible for a cochlear implant. Researchers want to see if injecting these specialized cells into the ear during implant surgery is safe and if it helps improve hearing nerve function. The study will compare outcomes between people who receive the implant alone and those who get the implant plus the cell injection.
