New drug trial offers hope for celiac patients who accidentally eat gluten

NCT ID NCT06982963

Summary

This study is testing whether an experimental drug called FB102 can help protect adults with celiac disease when they accidentally eat gluten. Researchers will give 100 participants either the drug or a placebo, then intentionally give them a small amount of gluten to see how their bodies respond. The goal is to see if FB102 can reduce intestinal damage and symptoms in people who are otherwise following a strict gluten-free diet.
