Early-Stage trial tests drug to tame gluten reaction

NCT ID NCT05574010

Summary

This study tested an investigational drug, KAN-101, to see if it could help control the immune system's harmful reaction to gluten in people with celiac disease. Researchers enrolled 128 adults already on a gluten-free diet to test the drug's safety and its effect on a key immune marker. The trial was terminated early, and its results for helping patients manage the disease are not yet known.
