New pill aims to tame celiac symptoms when diet alone fails
NCT ID NCT07298343
Summary
This study is testing an investigational drug called ZED1227 for adults with celiac disease who continue to experience stomach pain, bloating, and other symptoms even while following a gluten-free diet. About 356 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo (a dummy pill) to see if ZED1227 can safely reduce their symptoms and improve gut health. The goal is to provide better control for people whose disease is not fully managed by diet alone.
