NCT ID NCT07537413
First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a lower dose (1 gram daily) of the antibiotic ceftriaxone works as well as the standard higher dose (2 grams daily) for adults hospitalized with pneumonia but not in the ICU. The goal is to see if the lower dose leads to fewer side effects while still curing the infection. About 430 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two doses.
