Doctors seek perfect dose to fight deadly dialysis infections
NCT ID NCT06093269
Summary
This study aims to find the best dose of the antibiotic cefazolin for people on dialysis who get serious catheter infections. Researchers are measuring drug levels in the blood of 32 patients to see if the dose is strong enough to kill bacteria but not so high it causes harm. The goal is to create clearer, safer dosing guidelines for this vulnerable group.
