First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This small study tested whether Botox injections can relieve the leg pain caused by Chronic Exertional Compartment Syndrome (CECS) in runners, potentially avoiding the need for surgery. Only 3 people took part, and the main goal was to measure pain changes over 3 months. The study also explored a less painful way to diagnose the condition using ultrasound instead of needles.
