New pain drug tested for recovery after cosmetic surgery

NCT ID NCT06545097

Summary

This study tested whether an experimental drug called cebranopadol could effectively relieve moderate-to-severe pain following a tummy tuck surgery. Researchers compared the drug against a placebo (inactive treatment) in 279 people who had the procedure. The goal was to see if cebranopadol provided better pain control over the first two days after surgery and reduced the need for other pain medications.
