Summary

This study tested a new pain medication called cebranopadol in 240 adults who had bunion surgery. The goal was to see if it safely reduces moderate to severe acute pain better than a placebo or an active comparator. Participants were randomly assigned to receive the drug, a placebo, or another painkiller, and their pain levels and need for extra rescue medication were measured.
