New combo therapy aims to stop High-Risk breast cancer from coming back

Summary
This study tests whether adding a CDK4/6 inhibitor to standard hormone therapy can help prevent breast cancer from returning in women with a high-risk, hormone receptor-positive and HER2-positive early breast cancer who have already completed anti-HER2 treatment. About 1,900 women aged 18 to 70 will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard therapy alone or with the added drug. The main goal is to see if the combination improves survival without cancer recurrence over five years.
