Scientists hunt genetic clues to hereditary breast cancer

NCT ID NCT04206891

Summary

This study aimed to understand how inherited changes in a gene called CDH1 affect a woman's risk of developing a specific type of breast cancer called lobular breast cancer. Researchers analyzed genetic data from 421 women who had early-onset or bilateral lobular breast cancer to see how common these CDH1 gene changes are in this group. The goal was to gather knowledge to help identify women at higher genetic risk in the future.
