Experimental CAR-T therapy targets stubborn leukemia in small safety trial
NCT ID NCT06649227
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests whether a type of immunotherapy called CD19 CAR-T cells is safe for adults with a hard-to-treat form of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has returned or not responded to standard treatments. The therapy uses a patient's own immune cells, modified in the lab to recognize and attack leukemia cells that carry the CD19 marker. Only 5 participants will be enrolled, and the main goal is to monitor side effects and early signs of safety.
