First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested whether a 4-week cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) program could help people with functional tremor (a movement disorder not caused by brain damage) feel better and move more easily. Twenty adults with the condition took part, and researchers measured changes in symptoms using doctor ratings and patient self-reports. The goal was to see if learning to rethink stressful situations could reduce tremor severity and improve daily life.
