Phone therapy trial aims to ease debilitating cancer fatigue

NCT ID NCT03747757

Summary

This study is testing whether a type of talk therapy, delivered over the phone, can help patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or lymphoma manage severe, long-lasting cancer-related fatigue. The therapy focuses on teaching patients skills to change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that may worsen fatigue. Researchers want to see if patients find the program helpful and can complete the sessions, and if it improves their fatigue, sleep, mood, and overall quality of life.
