First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study compares cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to usual care for children aged 6-14 with autism who have emotional dysregulation, such as anxiety or irritability. About 100 children will participate, with their therapists receiving either weekly expert online coaching or self-guided CBT materials. The goal is to see if the coached approach improves emotional and behavioral symptoms more than standard care.
