New shot aims to melt belly fat without surgery

Summary
This phase 3 trial tests an injection called CBL-514 to see if it can safely reduce belly fat. About 320 adults with moderate to severe abdominal fat will receive either the drug or a placebo. The main goal is to see if more people in the drug group report a meaningful fat reduction compared to those getting the placebo.
