New shot aims to silence painful fatty lumps

Summary
This study tests whether an injected drug called CBL-514 can reduce pain from lipomas (fatty lumps) in people with Dercum's disease. About 19 adults with at least 4 painful lipomas will receive either CBL-514 or a placebo. The main goal is to see if the treatment lowers pain scores.
