New hope for autism? cannabis compound tested for Kids' irritability

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-psychoactive compound from the cannabis plant, called cannabidivarin (CBDV), can safely reduce irritability and repetitive behaviors in children with autism. It will involve 100 children and teens aged 5 to 18, comparing CBDV to a placebo over 12 weeks. The goal is to find a new treatment option with fewer side effects than current medications.
