CBD under the microscope: can it slow breast cancer growth?

NCT ID NCT06148038

First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether taking cannabidiol (CBD) pills can change how breast cancer cells grow or die. About 84 women with invasive breast cancer will take either a low or high dose of CBD or a placebo for up to 56 days before their surgery. The goal is to see if CBD affects tumor cell activity, not to treat the cancer itself.
