CBD's brain impact revealed in small yale study
NCT ID NCT04398719
First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026
Summary
This early-phase study at Yale University looked at how a single dose of cannabidiol (CBD) affects brain cell activity and pain sensitivity in 28 healthy adults aged 18–55. Participants received either CBD or a placebo, and researchers used brain scans and a capsaicin (chili pepper) pain test to measure differences. The goal was to understand CBD's basic effects on the brain, not to treat any disease.
